Warrior/Ranger ._.
hi i was just bored. I was thinking what if you applied strength along with marksmanship. would you get armor penetration along with a long range attack with good armor? or would it be a wash out because of the lack of energy? meh, jsut a thought <3

Complete and utter lack of energy, honestly. However a Warrior/Paragon with a spear isn't unheard of.

not unheard of but not good either...
Warriors really should stick with Warrior weapons... unless you're using that Warrior's Endurance Scyther build, but meh...
Warrior Weapons are awsome, use them!

Except for [[Hunter's Shot], [[Barrage] and [[Volley], there really isn't anything in Marksmanship a Warrior can use due to the lack of Energy.
For the most part, Warrior/Rangers should stick to Wilderness Survival ([[Dryder's Defense], for example, despite its short duration, can be a great help in a lot of areas, or even [[Apply Poison] if your build is mostly adrenal), or the unlinked [[Antidote Signet] (being able to remove Blindness at will is a great thing for a Warrior) if they're intent on using Ranger skills.

Why aren't spears good for Warriors? It acts the same as any other Weapon Mastery skill, after all. Sure, you won't get to use [[Dwarven Battle Stance] or [[Riposte]/[[Deadly Riposte] and maybe a couple of other non-Mastery skills that require an Axe/Sword/Hammer, but that's more than made up for by the strong, but quite cheap (compared to what you get with traditional weapons for the same level of effect), and usually adrenal, Spear Mastery skills - a quick reading of http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Spear_Mastery_skills shows tons of skills I'd have no problem including. The only weakness in the Spear line is the lack of top-tier elites. [[Cruel Spear] and [[Stunning Strike] are okay, I guess, but nothing to get too excited about. Fortunately, Warriors have plenty of good elites in Strength & Tactics.

LOL, my warrior pretty much always specs either a Spear or a Scythe, depending on if the area/mission I'm in requires me to soak up some hits :P
Warriors with Spears can make best use of Flail and Dolyak's signet.
Anyway, I remember seeing a build somewhere of a warrior using a bow. It was Ok, but I'm not sure how they countered energy problems.

Play a Paragon. Ranged, better IAS, party buffs, high armour and stupid DPS.

Warrior with a bow is not very good, if you really, really want to though use [flourish] to get past the energy problems. (I hate flourish)
I've been playing warrior for ages and ages and am really bored with the warrior weapons, I use a spear, scythe or pair of daggers quite a lot, makes for a nice change. But when it comes down to it, using warrior weapons is the most effective option.

A warrior with a bow and high str/marksmanship can do very nice damage, but then you have to wait or get bipped to restore your energy.
The only real benifit to this is when your in a zone that has agro issues for melee chars. And you need to beat that zone with your war.
In the end its like comparing an Elemental/ranger using conjures with a bow..works but very weak compared to normal builds.
